07021 it Porto Cervo

07021 is the postal code of Porto Cervo, a small harbour town on the northeastern coast of Sardinia.

Today the village is known as the centre of the Costa Smeralda, but only a few decades ago this coastline looked very different.

In the early 1960s there was no town, no harbour and no development along this part of Sardinia. The landscape consisted only of granite rock formations, Mediterranean vegetation and an uninterrupted stretch of coastline facing the open sea.

When the region began to be developed, its founders introduced a new name for this coastline: Costa Smeralda, the Emerald Coast inspired by the distinctive colour of the water, which shifts between deep blue and bright turquoise along the granite shoreline.

The natural shape of the bay made the location ideal for a protected marina. A harbour was carefully constructed, and around it a new village slowly began to take form.

Porto Cervo was designed not as a conventional city, but as an architectural response to the landscape itself.

Architects such as Jacques Couëlle and Luigi Vietti developed buildings with curved forms, arches and organic shapes that echo the surrounding granite formations. Streets and terraces open toward the sea, revealing changing views of the harbour, the coastline and the Mediterranean light.

Strict planning rules ensured that only a very small portion of the land could be developed, allowing the surrounding landscape to remain largely untouched. Natural materials and soft colours were used to maintain harmony with the environment.

Over time Porto Cervo became known internationally a destination associated with yachts, refined boutiques and quiet wealth.

Yet the atmosphere of the village remains remarkably restrained. Even around the marina, where luxury is present, it rarely appears loud or theatrical. Elegance here is expressed through proportion, materials and setting rather than spectacle.

The number 07021 quietly represents this balance.

A place where architecture respects nature,
where luxury remains calm and understated,
and where one of the most beautiful coastlines of the Mediterranean continues to define the experience.

For Maliti, the name 07021 it reflects that spirit refined, natural and deeply connected to the landscape of the eastern coast of Sardinia.
