The Beginning of Maliti
Some ideas begin slowly.
Maliti started not as a collection, but as a reflection on a particular way of living along the Mediterranean coast. Time moves differently near the sea. Days are shaped by light, wind and temperature rather than schedules.
Mornings often begin quietly, with open windows and the sound of water in the distance. Afternoons stretch into long hours outdoors. Evenings arrive gradually as the sun lowers behind the coastline.
In places like Sardinia, simplicity is not a design choice. It is part of everyday life.
Materials are chosen because they feel comfortable in warm climates. Colours remain soft and natural. Objects are made to last rather than to follow trends.
Maliti grew from the idea of translating this atmosphere into design.
The goal is not to recreate a specific place, but to capture elements that feel authentic to the Mediterranean: light fabrics, relaxed forms and colours shaped by sun and salt.
Every project begins with observation.
The coastline of northern Sardinia — its quiet harbours, granite landscapes and long summer evenings — became an early reference point.
From there the concept slowly developed into what will become the first collection. Maliti is still at the beginning of that process.
And this journal will follow the journey as it continues to unfold.
